Judy Duffy

Bio:  I caught the photography bug on a trip to the Galapagos Islands in 2010.  Since then I’ve been building my skills.  I enjoy photographing wildlife, especially birds, and landscape scenes of the Sierra Nevadas and nearby national and state parks.  In 2018, I retired from a big-company software engineering job in Silicon Valley, and relocated to beautiful Reno, Nevada, where I’m able to enjoy more hiking, birding, snow skiing at nearby Mt. Rose, and best of all pursuing my passion for photography.  I love the outdoor “vibe” in Reno, and the great local events such as the River Rafting Festival, Artown in July, Hot August Nights, the Great Balloon Race, and the local Lahontan Audubon Society walks – as well as the access to gorgeous Lake Tahoe, the Ruby Mountains, Yosemite, and Mono Lake.

Favorite Gear: Canon R3 with 100-500mm telephoto, Canon 16mm wide angle. Canon 5D Mark iii, Canon 70-300mm telephoto lens, Tamron 24-70 mm wide angle
